Sike, you thought? This story ain’t over yet.
The VPC is by far the world’s greatest tour-de-force in vocalist producer challenges that focus on the Nerdcore genre of Hip-Hop. Without a doubt this is the most celebrated and coveted title in the Hip-Hop community specifically among Nerdcore artists who are members of the Facebook group that hosted the tournament.
Without such immense undeniable power it would be impossible to assume that any vacuum of space or time could be occupied to such a degree that it would fill the void the VPC could leave should it never return
We’ll keep it simple.
What is dead may never die. Fire up your synths, crank up the bass, VPC 6 is in your face. Chances are you know the rules already, but we’re gonna nerdsplain ’em to you anyway. In case you were asking yourself: “How do I shot VPC? How is fire formed?” We’ll break it down:
- The V stands for Vocalist. Ready to quit your day job? Channel some of that newly unemployed energy directly into VPC: Electric Sixgaloo, we need bars and we need ’em quick. If you aren’t a vocalist (and pretty much everyone is in this group), you best get to finding one!
- The P stands for Producer. Soundcloud got you down? Mixtapes won’t move? Crack out a groove and make it bang, cause it’s your time to shine! You’re in hot demand during the VPC, so pick out your favorite bard and get crackin’.
- The C stands for Challenge. The veritable Iron Chef of nerddom is back. If Nerdcore is the core of the nerd, then challenge is the core of the VPC. Prepare for anything from tongue-twisters, time signature switchups, genre flips, and more! Check out previous years’ VPC offerings for a taste of what could be in store.
Contestant teams will consist of 2 (two) members. Roles are to be set by the date of submission (TBA), and are static for the remainder of the event. Stay tuned for more information!
Is this your chance? We’re giving you a platform to show us your stuff. Share your sound, explore new territory, and do your best; Whether you’re in it to win, just for fun, or plain ol’ shitpost, VPC 6 launches soon.
Are you up for it?
